Ensuring people’s safety and security
Butachimie’s highest priority is people’s safety — namely, our employees and people living near the site. Our commitment to safety and security defines our organization and our management policies. Our proprietary integrated Safety Management System allows us to structure our approach to safety and security improvement and to heighten our reactivity.
Convinced that everyone has a role to play in safety and security, and believing strongly in personal accountability, we train our employees to prevent, reduce and manage risks. Discipline, precision, knowledge and compliance with agreed processes all add to our general efforts to improve safety and security.
Our central concern is reactivity. Employees trained in First Aid, others trained at two different levels as Rescue Teams and auxiliary firefighters support the on-site Specialized Fire Department.

Here at Butachimie, excellent performance dovetails with managing the complicated processes that we use. The commitment of our personnel to continuous process improvement at every stage of production is the best guarantee of safety and security.
Our engineering teams contribute to this goal every day by collecting essential data, analyzing them, and then creating modeling systems. The contribution of other industrial companies as well as feedback on tests and the sharing of good manufacturing practices feed our thoughts and practices.
Every working day is preparation for the triennial production shutdown, a decisive period for our processes, safety and security.
