Environment
Butachimie has a long-term vision for preserving the environment. We have a coherent commitment to sustainability, in both the upstream and the downstream production of Adiponitrile (ADN) and Hexamethylenediamine (HMD). The determination to build a sustainable world inspires us to innovate beyond existing rules and regulations, and to grow relationships based on trust with our local partners.
Sustainable chemistry,
from processes to applications
Being certified ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 is testimony to our management’s core value of protecting the environment. We also voluntarily commit to protection beyond the statutory obligations. Increased awareness of the risks, and training to manage them, is provided to all our employees and stakeholders. This includes continuous improvement of our energy and environmental performances. From the supply of raw materials and energy to the use of the processes and eventually to the objects made from the ADN and HMD that we produce, Butachimie is a continual contributor to sustainable development and a better quality of life.
ISO 14001 and 50001:
our commitment to environmental responsibility recognized and certified
Continuous process improvement and our engagement in terms of social and environmental responsibility push us to go beyond the statutory obligations. The international environmental standards ISO 14001 and 50001 reward our proactive approach.
Butachimie 4.0,
working towards ecological efficiency
A better-performing, more flexible, more proactive factory – by introducing digital tools and processes, begun in 2010 and planned to finish in 2022, Butachimie can reduce its environmental impact.
Butachimie,
playing a major role in our own ecosystem
Believing in others, sharing information and working together are the building blocks to a sustainable world.
Knowing what’s at stake, Butachimie has redoubled its efforts to build solid relationships with its partners: the French administration (DREAL for the environment, VNF for waterways, AERM for river pollution), the region, the nearby towns and villages surrounding the Chalampé site, and professional and civic associations (ATMO for air quality, ARMUE for sustainability).
We are committed to open and transparent communication with regard to our activities with the different local communities in the region.
