Our plans and projects
Our ambition is to be in the ADN and HMD market in 99 years. Increasing our competitiveness while pursuing our goals of sustainable development requires constant reinvention and investment. At Butachimie, continual process improvement goes hand in hand with the roll-out of our projects. The planned production shutdown every three and a half years requires all our strengths and skills to implement reliable innovations.
Continual improvement:
daily projects
Health, safety, the environment, working conditions — every year Butachimie works towards compliance above and beyond any legal requirements. Each of our employees is a powerful source of improvement and actively participates in our projects. The commitment of the entire workforce to continually improve processes and installations contributes to the rise in production and quality, advancing our goal of sustainable chemical production.
Towards Factory 4.0
Since 2010 Butachimie has been involved in the MIRe project. All the electronics on the site will be completely reviewed and modified by 2022 in order to optimize production. Digitalizing our processes and incorporating digital tools will allow us to improve both performance and competitiveness. It will also speed up process development while following the fundamental rules of safety and sustainability.
Triennial production shutdowns,
a strategic period
ADN is produced in a 24 hours a day, year round facility.
Important maintenance operations as well as the installation of new technologies are only possible during the planned production shutdowns.
For one and a half months, 1400 people are involved in checking, maintaining and improving production capability.
Strategic, crucial periods, these shutdowns shape the life of Butachimie.
